“General manager Jerry Angelo of the Chicago Bears tried to trade his second-round draft pick for Anquan Boldin, and when that didn’t work out, he traded the Bears right out of the first day of the draft. anquan-boldin-1The Bears were hoping Ohio State wide receiver Brian Robiskie would slip to them, and when he didn’t come close to making it to No. 49, they explored options to get out of the pick and found a willing trade partner in Seattle. That sets up Angelo and the Bears with nine draft picks today in the final five rounds, including the fourth pick of the day, 68th overall, acquired from the Seahawks.”
